I turned 28 this past week and although I haven't lost those last 15 lbs I'm more than happy with the progress I've made and don't mind if it takes a year for them to budge - it'll give me time to adjust to this body that's causing me so much confusion.

I'm down between 60 and 63 lbs most days.
Here's how that looks:

I'm getting there!

  1. Your journey is so inspiring. I love how honest you are about needing to adjust to your new smaller body. Often people only talk about the good parts, but there are some times when I feel overwhelmed by my change in size, and confused, and honestly tired by the fear of keeping it.

    1. It's a real and strange struggle but it all makes sense to me why it's hard - it's a face I've looked at all my life, a face that's always got bigger and never smaller. I think we get into a habit of seeing ourselves always getting bigger or just staying the same...

My brother who has lost a lot of weight in the last year couldn't believe me when I told him to slow down and try to adjust instead of getting so excited hitting new lows on the scale but it hit him too and it hit hard!

So I guess it's just one of those things people don't talk about? File all that stuff away with "what happens during and after child birth" ;)
